Terms and conditions of use

In force since 26 October 2026 · PapierPDF by ZENITH

Courtesy translation. This document was written in Spanish, for Colombian law; if the two versions differ, the Spanish version prevails.

In short: PapierPDF processes your PDFs inside your own browser, with no sign-up. Your documents remain yours. Use it only with documents you have the right to use, always check the result before using it in an official procedure, and keep in mind that a signature made with an image is not a certified digital signature.

1. Acceptance

These terms govern the use of PapierPDF by ZENITH (“PapierPDF”), available at https://papierpdf.zenithq.co and as an installable application. By using PapierPDF you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use the application.

2. Who provides the service

PapierPDF is a product of the ZENITH brand, operated by Edwin Pantoja Bustos, based in Colombia. Contact: hola@zenithq.co · +57 323 393 2071.

3. What PapierPDF is and how it is used

PapierPDF is a set of tools for working with PDF documents. There are four ways to use it:

  • Local processing tools. All except the AI ones — merge, split, compress, rotate, protect, sign, redact, OCR, convert to Word, Excel and PowerPoint, PDF/A, among others — run entirely in your browser. The file isn’t sent to any server. They are free and have no limit on the number of uses.
  • AI tools. Summarize with AI, Translate PDF and Handwriting transcription with AI. Without an access code they include 3 trial uses a day, counted in your browser. The count resets every day.
  • Access code. ZENITH issues codes that raise or remove the limit on the AI tools. Each code may have its own daily cap and expiry date, stated when it is delivered. The commercial terms of a code, if any, are agreed separately with ZENITH; PapierPDF does not charge or process payments inside the application.
  • Tools with an external service. Summarize with AI and Translate PDF extract the document’s text on your device and send it to a third party’s artificial intelligence model to produce the result. The tool asks for your authorization before sending it. See the Privacy policy.

PapierPDF can be installed on a computer and a phone as an app, and it updates automatically when we publish a new version.

4. Requirements

  • An up-to-date browser (recent versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari).
  • An internet connection to open PapierPDF the first time and for the tools with an external service. Once loaded, most tools work offline.
  • Files of up to 100 MB. The limit exists because the browser loads the whole file into memory to process it.

5. Permitted use

You agree to use PapierPDF lawfully. In particular, it is not allowed to:

  • Process documents you have no rights or authorization over, or that infringe third parties’ copyright (Colombian Law 23 of 1982 and Andean Decision 351 of 1993).
  • Remove passwords or protections from other people’s documents without their holder’s authorization. Abusive access to protected information is a crime in Colombia (Law 1273 of 2009).
  • Use the editing, signing or redaction tools to forge documents, signatures or information, or to mislead third parties.
  • Automate requests, overload the service or try to evade the limits of the AI tools or the access code system.

ZENITH may revoke access codes or restrict the use of the tools with an external service in the event of use that breaches these conditions.

6. Scope of the results

PapierPDF strives for faithful results, but some operations have limits worth knowing:

  • Conversions between formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are approximate: the content is kept, not always the exact design.
  • OCR recognizes printed text; with handwriting the results are unreliable.
  • PDF/A: PapierPDF adds the elements the standard requires and checks what it can verify, but it is not a certified validator. For official filings, confirm the file with a validator such as veraPDF.
  • Sign PDF inserts an image of your signature. It is not a certified electronic signature or a digital signature under Colombian Law 527 of 1999 and Decree 2364 of 2012, and it doesn’t prove your identity to third parties.
  • Redact PDF removes the text from the file, but you must check the result before sharing a sensitive document.
  • Summarize and Translate use artificial intelligence, which can omit, misread or invent details. They don’t replace reading the original document or an official translation.

Always keep your original file. PapierPDF generates new copies and never modifies the file you upload, but the responsibility for checking a result before using it lies with whoever uses it.

7. Intellectual property

The software, design, brand, logos and texts of PapierPDF belong to ZENITH or are used under license. PapierPDF incorporates open-source components under their own licenses, listed in the Legal notice.

Your documents are yours. Using PapierPDF grants ZENITH no right over the files you process or over their results.

8. Availability and changes to the service

PapierPDF is offered as it stands. We work to keep it available and working properly, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may add, improve, modify or withdraw tools; updates are installed automatically.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by Colombian law, ZENITH is not liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of information arising from the use of PapierPDF, from using a result without checking it, or from use contrary to these terms. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that Law 1480 of 2011 (Consumer Statute) recognizes as non-waivable.

10. Personal data

The processing of personal data is governed by the Privacy policy, in accordance with Law 1581 of 2012. The use of your browser’s storage is explained in the Cookie policy.

11. Requests, complaints and claims

You can submit requests, complaints, claims or suggestions at hola@zenithq.co. If the matter is a consumer one and isn’t resolved, you can turn to the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its date. If a change significantly affects how you use PapierPDF, we will let you know inside the application.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Colombia. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent authorities of Colombia, without prejudice to consumer rights.
